Middle QA Specialist Offline

We’re looking for a Middle QA Specialist to join our team. You’ll be working as part of a cross-functional team to ensure the delivery of high-quality digital products.

 

What is the project about?

This is a Fintech project from the US, whose main goal is to manage and schedule debts for US customers using a popular payment system.

The digital collection strategy allows clients to pay at their own pace on a customizable plan that works for them.

The customers have a proprietary online portal to manage their accounts. The platform offers them multiple installment payment options, nearly instant account updates, and even potential discounts for many accounts.

The client has been stable, working with the same team for over 4 years, showing a strong foundation and continuous trust in the partnership.

In the last two years, the client has successfully found their product-market fit, which means they've now identified their target customers and are set for further growth. 


What is the team size and structure?

Our team consists of a Team Lead Full Stack Engineer, 2 Full-stack Engineers, 1 Back End Engineer, 1 Front End Engineer, 2 QA Engineers, DevOps, Designer, and PM.

 

 

What does the interview process look like?
- Recruitment interview - up to 30 minutes;

- Technical Interview - up to 1 hour.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of QA working experience with strong knowledge of SDLC and QA methodologies;
  • Ability to define functional, non-functional, regression, smoke, and system test plans;
  • Experienced in testing web apps and REST APIs using Postman/Swagger, including schema validation and security checks (auth tokens, rate limits, boundaries);
  • Hands-on experience with tools like TestRail, Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket;
  • Proficient in creating detailed bug reports and feature tickets in JIRA/Confluence with clear steps, impact, logs/screenshots, and environment details;
  • Strong SQL querying and debugging skills for relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), with experience in data integrity validation across microservices and environments;
  • Experience working in CI/CD pipelines;
  • Understanding of security testing principles (SSL pinning, input sanitization, encryption, token expiration) and fintech security practices (PCI-DSS, secure tokens, user data handling);
  • Proactive in fostering quality awareness by educating developers, documenting knowledge, mentoring juniors, and effectively communicating with clients;
  • Eager to continuously improve QA processes through tools and automation, with a strong focus on delivering impact;
  • Upper-intermediate or higher level of English.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain and execute test cases and checklists;
  • Test new functionality and bugfixes across multiple test environments and multitenancy system, and create bug reports; 
  • Perform functional, regression, system, and API testing;
  • Analyze requirements and write detailed test reports; 
  • Drive quality across the full tech stack (backend, APIs, data, frontend), validates complex scenarios in a multitenant fintech environment, and documents/shares findings for continuous improvement;
  • Proactively raise red flags in grooming sessions and help clarify acceptance criteria;
  • Provide support during production and after releases, assisting in understanding and addressing client-reported issues;
  • Engage directly with the client and work closely with the team.
