Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented bash scripting programmer and Java Tester to join our software development team. As a Java Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and address any issues during the testing phase.

Responsibilities

·      Write bash scripts to automate various functions.

·      Review software requirements and specifications to understand functionality and user expectations.

·      Create comprehensive test scenarios based on project requirements.

·      Identify and define test scenarios, test cases and document traceability to ensure sufficient test coverage.

·      Develop test automation framework/tools for regression test and end-to-end tests.

·      Execute functional, regression, and usability tests.

·      Identify and report defects, bugs, and inconsistencies.

·      Collaborate with developers to resolve issues and verify fixes.

·      Perform database impact analysis during testing.

·      Execute test plans and report test results, including testing of software deployment procedures and documentation.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

·      Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

·      Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·      Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

·      Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

·      Strong understanding of software development, testing processes, and quality assurance best practices, including functional, performance, regression, and infrastructure testing.

·      Must have strong knowledge of Linux and Linux bash scripts.

·      Knowledge of SQL and database testing.

·      Experience in using Git.

·      Experience in Financial systems or Banking.

·      Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Java Tester or Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
