Senior Software Developer to $6500

We are hiring a Senior Software Developer for a cutting-edge surveillance and video analytics project developed for an Israeli client in the defense and security space. The role involves enhancing and expanding an existing platform to meet strict requirements defined in a government-level tender.

About the Project:

You’ll work on a complex real-time video streaming and analytics system used for monitoring and drone-based reconnaissance. The system ingests RTSP feeds from PTZ cameras and drone devices, streams them via MediaMTX, and delivers processed insights through a secure, web-based dashboard. The platform requires seamless integration with ONVIF-compliant devices, advanced control over drone operations via WebSocket, and highly accurate detection of motion, humans, and vehicles in the video feed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Refactor and scale the streaming architecture using RTSP and WebRTC protocols.

• Integrate and manage PTZ cameras through ONVIF with real-time control.

• Build robust APIs for drone communication and control using RTSP and WebSocket.

• Implement secure video recording with civilian-grade encryption and strong authentication.

• Develop and tune video analytics features such as VMD and object detection with 90%+ accuracy.

• Contribute to both back-end and front-end development using Node.js, React, Vite, and TypeScript.

• Troubleshoot and optimize the platform for performance, security, and maintainability.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.

• Deep experience with RTSP, WebRTC, and MediaMTX or similar platforms.

• Strong proficiency in ONVIF protocol and PTZ camera control.

• Experience building APIs and controlling drone systems over WebSocket.

• Solid background in security: encryption, authentication, access control.

• Proven ability to implement and optimize real-time video analytics.

• Advanced skills in Node.js, React, Vite, and TypeScript.

• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality code in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
