Senior Devops Engineer to $5000
We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic DevOps team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day support and performance of our enterprise-wide Unix system infrastructure and its interconnected technologies. We’re seeking not only a technical expert but someone with a passion for continuous learning, strong ownership, and a collaborative mindset.
What You'll Do
- Lead and optimize deployment processes across development, staging, and production environments.
- Architect, implement, and maintain high-availability systems and disaster recovery solutions.
- Drive and participate in technical discussions around system architecture, scalability, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of production infrastructure.
- Build, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools with a focus on resilience and scalability.
- Develop automation scripts and tooling using Bash and/or Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, QA) to ensure seamless and secure application delivery.
- Manage software releases, patching processes, and full infrastructure lifecycle.
- Maintain and enhance documentation, operational runbooks, and internal knowledge bases.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering, managing complex infrastructure environments.
- Deep expertise with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Advanced Linux system administration skills; experience with Apache and Nginx.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and load balancing (both local and global).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, checkmk, Prometheus, ELK).
- Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI, and their integration with cloud-native environments.
- Competence in both SQL (MSSQL, MySQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) database systems.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, and VPC.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices — IAM, encryption, network access control, etc.
