Platform Engineer

PIN-UP Global is an international holding specializing in the development and implementation of advanced technologies, B2B solutions and innovative products for the iGaming industry. We provide certification and licensing of our products, providing customers and partners of the holding with high-quality and reliable solutions.

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our teams!

Requirements:

Technical Expertise
– Experience with modern tracing, monitoring, and logging approaches;
– Proficiency with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Jaeger;
– Knowledge of Open Source library maintenance best practices;
– Background working with distributed and high-load systems;
– Understanding of enterprise-scale application and database scaling;
 

Advanced Skills
– Ability to design telemetry solutions that balance data collection with performance;
– Experience implementing correlated logs, metrics, and traces;
– Knowledge of efficient telemetry data management techniques;
– Skill in developing custom instrumentation;
 

Strategic Capabilities
– Ability to create telemetry architectures that adapt to system growth;
– Experience implementing telemetry improvements with minimal disruption;

Will be plus:
– Production experience with high-loaded OpenTelemetry and LGTM stack;

Soft Skills:

– Easy to work with and gets along well with the team;

– Explains things clearly without making them too complicated;

– Solves problems in practical ways without overthinking;

– Fits in well with how the team already works;
 

Responsibilities:
 

Improve Telemetry and Metrics
– Maintain and update company telemetry libraries;
– Add needed features and remove old code
– Update old metrics so they follow company standards.
 

Ensure Compatibility & Versioning
– Maintain backward compatibility for all telemetry components;
– Implement semantic versioning (SemVer) for all library releases;
– Document breaking changes and provide migration paths when necessary.
 

Technical Architecture
– Create standardized APIs for consistent data collection;
– Optimize telemetry collection to minimize performance impact.
 

Collaboration & Support
– Create documentation for telemetry library usage;
– Support development teams implementing telemetry solutions;
– Participate in code reviews for telemetry implementation.
 

Performance & Reliability
– Implement robust error handling and fallback mechanisms;
– Design for high throughput and low latency in data transmission;
– Establish monitoring and alerting for telemetry system health.

– Self-Hosted LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir).
