Middle Manual QA Engineer
We're developing a POS solution that allows providing attended (employee) and unattended (customer) tunnel car washing service. There are two labs:
1. One in USA (Ohio)
2. One in Ukraine (Lviv)
Both support USA and Canadian market. One hardware set includes several points on sale, a set of different sensors, readers and cameras, payment terminals, servers, automatic gates.
Ukrainian team develops a PWA application and a hybrid web application (.Net & Angular) that operates on hardware & cloud and supports full customer flow: from customer recognition or account creation to sale & directing their car to a tunnel. All embedded development is on the client's side. Some teams have hardware dependencies based on the areas of the application they work with, meaning office presence is necessary.

General Project QA structure
1. MQA. Each SCRUM team has its own MQA engineers, usually 2-3 engineers per team of different seniority, all managed by one MQA Lead. There are 14+ MQAs engineers on the product. Ukrainian and USA locations work independently and rarely interact with each other.
2. AQA. AQA engineers are not assigned to a specific SCRUM team and operate separately, targeting the most prioritized areas of the application. Automated tests are integrated into most QA processes. There are 7 AQA engineers on the product.
Job Description
- At least 3 years of experience in software testing, preferably on several different projects
- Ability to visit Project Laboratory in Lviv office at least 2-3 times/week or on demand
- Confident with SQL, REST API
- Deep understanding of Agile family frameworks
- Experience in direct communication with foreign customers
- Good understanding of grooming, planning and work estimation processes
- Mentoring skills would be a plus
- Experience with Azure DevOps would be a plus
B2 spoken and written English is a must
Job Responsibilities
- Actively participate in team grooming & plannings
- Collaborate with Manual QA and AQA to develop effective strategies and test plans
- Generate & execute test cases, analyse & report results
- Evaluate product code according to specifications
- Create & update product documentation
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
- Collaborate with foreign agents on various systems parts
- Conduct sprint demos
- Participate in QA activities planning during each release cycle
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Test some team scope on Hardware (nice to have).
