Front-end Tech Lead (React)

Project Overview
We operate in ed-tech, helping hundreds of thousands of students with academic needs. Our platform offers academic paper writing services, allowing clients to select work types, set requirements, and communicate directly with authors. We’re continuously expanding our product’s functionality to enhance customer experience and improve financial results.

We are looking for a seasoned React Tech Lead to join our fast-growing product team. We need a strong technical leader who not only excels in hands-on React development but can also drive delivery, mentor a team, and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders.

We are looking for you if you have:
 

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in front-end development with a focus on React.js and TypeScript.
  • Proven track record of leading development teams and delivering production-ready solutions.
  • Solid expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and handling asynchronous requests.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows (e.g., GitHub PRs, CI/CD setup).
  • Experience managing or working within Nx is a strong plus.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a high sense of ownership.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and business-facing roles.
  • Good understanding of web operations and the ability to communicate fluently with DevOps engineers.
  • React Native is a plus.
  • Experience with AI APIs or integrating third-party AI tools is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Lead and actively contribute to the design and implementation of scalable React applications (50%+ hands-on coding expected).
  • Own the delivery of the technical roadmap in alignment with business goals.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of developers: task setting, code reviews, architectural planning, and scaling strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, DevOps, etc.) to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Take part in product discussions and decision-making, understanding how tech impacts business direction and deadlines.
  • Implement and maintain best practices in engineering: CI/CD pipelines, GitHub workflows, and monorepo management (Nx).
  • Drive the use of modern tools and technologies, including AI integrations via third-party APIs.
  • Define and refine technical strategies in close collaboration with business stakeholders.

Working conditions
- Work life balance and flexible working hours (start of the day from 9:00 to 10:00 and 8 working hours + 1-hour lunch)
- Payment of income in USD every 1 of the month
- Compensation of trainings / courses up to 100%
- English Classes (up to 80 USD/month after successfully completing the probation period)
- Sports activities compensation (up to 80 USD/month after successfully completing the probation period).
⁃ Medical insurance (50% after successful completion of the probation period) or $200 a year for health care.

-Do you have an office that works in the absence of light?
Yes, of course! Our office is equipped with everything necessary, ensuring uninterrupted work, even during blackouts.
 
-Can I work remotely from another country?
Yes. We understand the importance of being safe.
 
-Do you cooperate with Russia and its citizens?
No. Our company was founded in 2014, and even then, we understood that Russia is an aggressor country, and we do not want to have any relations with it.
