Android Developer (Parental Control, Screen Time Apps)
What makes you a great fit:
- Experience building parental control features (e.g. app blocking, screen time tracking, lock modes)
- Strong Android fundamentals — Kotlin, services, background tasks, permissions
- Comfortable with Accessibility Service, Usage Stats Manager, and similar APIs
- Able to build clean, responsive UI/UX from Figma designs
- Works fast, communicates clearly, and delivers without constant supervision
- Ability to work independently, make architecture-level decisions, and move fast without constant input.
Comfortable working with existing backend and adjusting Android-side logic accordingly.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with kiosk mode, app lockers, or custom launchers
Past projects with security, focus tools, or kids’ apps
Your day-to-day in this position:
- Build and maintain parental control features such as app blocking, screen time limits, and lock modes
- Implement background services and system-level integrations using Android APIs (e.g. Accessibility Service, UsageStatsManager)
- Develop responsive, user-friendly UI from Figma designs
- Integrate with an existing backend and handle permission workflows reliably
- Collaborate directly with the product team, suggest improvements, and take ownership of implementation
Deliver high-quality code quickly and independently, with minimal oversight
