QA Engineer

We’re seeking a QA Engineer to support the delivery of robust, high-quality software solutions tailored for the legal sector. Our platform utilizes AI, automation, and a blend of modern web and desktop technologies to simplify patent application processes and optimize legal workflows.

This role offers a unique chance to be part of a comprehensive LegalTech product suite, covering web (VueJS), desktop (Electron, WPF/VSTO Office Add-Ins), and backend (NestJS) environments. You’ll join a fully remote, cross-functional team, playing a key role in testing critical features relied upon daily by legal professionals.

Your Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the QA process for both new and existing features across web and desktop applications
  • Test an advanced LegalTech platform with components like AI-driven document automation, workflow systems, and USPTO integrations
  • Execute both manual and automated testing across UI (front-end), backend APIs, and document generation pipelines
  • Perform exploratory and regression testing, including workflows that involve using both web UIs and Microsoft Office Add-ins simultaneously
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to define, implement, and maintain test cases, plans, and regression test suites
  • Verify document integrations inside Microsoft Word (via VSTO add-ins), focusing on accuracy in formatting, templates, and data
  • Validate backend workflows across data layers using MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and RabbitMQ
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test coverage in CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
  • Offer feedback on product usability and functional behavior from a real-user standpoint

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of hands-on QA experience, preferably within B2B or enterprise-grade software
  • Proven experience testing platforms with both web and desktop components
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript/TypeScript stacks, especially VueJS and NestJS
  • Understanding of desktop application testing methodologies
  • Strong manual testing skills, particularly for complex business scenarios
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman or Swagger, and backend validation techniques
  • Ability to navigate both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases for result verification
  • Working experience with CI/CD environments, ideally using Azure DevOps
  • Keen attention to detail, especially when working with automated document formatting and logic
