Senior C++ Firmware Engineer - Intelligent Sensors - ESP32 - Lead Developer - Sports

We are seeking a Senior C++ Firmware Engineer to help develop intelligent, sensor-based lifestyle products. This part-time, remote role focuses on building robust firmware for ESP32 microcontrollers, with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency, data collection logic, and Bluetooth connectivity. This role will collaborate with our hardware, electronics, and design teams to integrate smart capabilities into our products.

Responsibilities:

• Develop efficient, reliable C++ firmware for ESP32 microcontrollers
• Implement sophisticated sensor data collection and processing algorithms
• Create robust Bluetooth connectivity for app integration
• Optimize firmware for power consumption, reliability, and memory footprint
• Collaborate with hardware and design teams to integrate firmware with physical products
• Support real-world testing, debugging, and over-the-air firmware updates

Requirements:

• 3+ years in embedded firmware development with delivered projects
• Hands-on experience with ESP32 or similar microcontrollers
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ for resource-constrained environments
• Experience implementing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity
• Deep understanding of power management and low-energy design techniques
• Experience with sensor integration, data collection, and signal processing
• Familiarity with power profiling tools and optimization techniques
• Remote collaboration experience

Work Details:

• Part-time (15–20 hrs/week) or task based
• Remote, ideally in CET ±1–2h
• Good English
