Full-Stack SvelteKit Developer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design and product team to implement new features based on a detailed PRD.
• Build and optimize community review interactions, including threaded comments, voting logic, and surfacing of popular reviews.
• Develop notification and alert systems, including subscriptions and re-engagement digests.
• Implement ownership claiming logic and profile-based collection ranking features.
• Integrate animated badge systems, contributor ranks, and profile customization tools.
• Add support for video submissions and explore image recognition tools for autofill functionality.
• Enhance search, feed, and recommendation tools using libraries like Fuse.js.
• Maintain and scale the backend using PostgreSQL, Prisma, and SvelteKit API routes.

• Deploy and manage frontend/backend code via Vercel, integrating third-party services such as Clerk, Cloudinary, and ImageKit.

   

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
• Strong expertise in SvelteKit and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM.
• Advanced styling skills using Tailwind CSS and component-based design systems.
• Familiarity with authentication providers such as Clerk, Firebase Auth, or similar.
• Knowledge of image/video handling and CDN integration (e.g., Cloudinary, Mux).
• Proficiency in building SSR applications and RESTful API integrations.

• Self-starter attitude with strong communication skills and attention to detail.

   

Nice to Have

• Experience with Chart.js, Fuse.js, or similar libraries.
• Prior work on community, collector, marketplace, or gamified platforms.
• Familiarity with real-time updates, ranking algorithms, and moderation systems.

• Passion for well-designed, user-first platforms and community engagement.
