Full Stack Team Lead – Automotive E-Commerce to $7250 Offline

About the Role

We are supporting an American electric vehicle manufacturer on the localization of its global e-commerce platform for international markets

We're looking for a Team Lead – Full Stack Developer to join the project on a contract basis. You’ll lead a small, agile team of 6–8 engineers (frontend, backend, and full stack) while also contributing directly to the codebase.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide the technical work, support your teammates, and help adapt an existing platform to meet regional needs — from language and layout to payments and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team (6–8 people) working across frontend, backend, and full stack development.
• Coordinate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and delivery timelines in collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Ensure high technical standards through code reviews, architectural oversight, and best practices.
• Contribute directly to the codebase, with a focus on frontend integration, API development, and infrastructure-related work.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver features that align with the company’s digital and e-commerce strategy.
• Serve as the main technical point of contact for internal teams and external partners, helping resolve blockers and shape scalable solutions.
• Work closely with teams responsible for integrating the platform into the regional importer’s systems and supporting local business operations.
   

Key Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Proven experience leading technical teams in a remote, agile environment.
• Strong full stack development skills, with a focus on React.js, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Deep knowledge of API development (REST and GraphQL), CI/CD workflows, and modern architecture patterns (microservices, serverless, event-driven).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, EventBridge, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with backend frameworks such as NestJS, Express, Flask, or Django.
• Ability to effectively manage distributed, cross-cultural engineering teams across multiple time zones.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder collaboration and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on e-commerce platforms or digital marketplaces.
• Background in the automotive or mobility industry is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with localizing digital platforms for international markets is a strong advantage.
• Experience with ERP or DMS integrations, such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central, or similar systems.
