QA Engineer

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with proven experience using Katalon Studio to join our distributed engineering team. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and improving automated testing frameworks that ensure the stability, performance, and quality of our clients' web applications and digital platforms.This role will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to drive a quality-first approach throughout the software development lifecycle.Key Responsibilities
Test Automation Design & Execution:
Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon Studio for web and API testing.Test Planning & Strategy:
Contribute to the definition of test plans and strategies based on user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements.Framework Maintenance:
Optimize and scale test frameworks, ensuring reusability, reliability, and maintainability of test scripts.CI/CD Integration:
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI), ensuring early bug detection and rapid feedback.Defect Management:
Identify, log, and track bugs in issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira), working with engineering to ensure prompt resolution.Collaboration:
Work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to identify test coverage gaps and champion quality best practices.Test Reporting:
Generate test execution reports, logs, and metrics to communicate quality status to stakeholders.Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in QA with at least 1 year focused on Katalon Studio.Solid understanding of test automation for web and APIs.Experience writing test scripts using Groovy (Katalon’s scripting language) or Java.Familiarity with testing RESTful APIs and tools like Postman or Swagger.Hands-on experience with Git and test case version control.Strong understanding of QA methodologies, best practices, and SDLC.Familiarity with Agile development environments (Scrum/Kanban).Experience integrating test suites with CI/CD pipelines.Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.Nice to Have
Experience with additional tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.Knowledge of performance or load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Familiarity with AI-powered tools to support automated test generation.
