Saleor Commerce (saleor.io) developer (Python Django) Offline

As a Saleor Backend Developer, you’ll work alongside our frontend developers, designers, and project managers to deliver performant, scalable eCommerce solutions using open source Saleor. You’ll take ownership of backend architecture, API development, and integrations with third-party systems like ERPs, CRMs, and payment gateways.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop custom backend functionality using Python and GraphQL within the Saleor ecosystem.
  • Extending and customizing Saleor apps
  • Implement and maintain integrations with external services (e.g., Stripe, Mailchimp, shipping providers, etc.)
  • Configure Saleor instances, extend core functionality, and manage deployment pipelines.
  • Work closely with frontend developers building with Vue/Nuxt in a headless setup.
  • Collaborate with designers and strategists to ensure technical feasibility and smooth delivery.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and offer input on best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Saleor Commerce (v3 or later).
  • Strong understanding of GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and RESTful services.
  • Experience working with Docker and containerized deployments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Vercel.
  • Solid Git workflow knowledge.
  • Clear communicator, comfortable working in remote and async teams.

 

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with headless CMSs (e.g., Strapi, Dato CMS, Contentful).
  • Experience with custom checkout flows or multi-storefront setups.
  • Interest in performance optimization and eCommerce UX.
