QA Engineer (Automation)

Project Overview
We operate in ed-tech, helping hundreds of thousands of students with academic needs. Our platform offers academic paper writing services, allowing clients to select work types, set requirements, and communicate directly with authors. We’re continuously expanding our product’s functionality to enhance customer experience and improve financial results.

What do you need to do?
- Conduct manual acceptance testing for the incoming features, decompose them on the automation tasks and cover them using automation tools.
- Enhance, evolve, and refine automation frameworks for testing.
- Develop and sustain comprehensive automated tests spanning backend and frontend components.
- Ensure adaptability of test scripts to evolving application features while maintaining extensive test coverage.
- Evaluate automated test outcomes, swiftly detecting and communicating anomalies or discrepancies.
- Collaborate closely with development and QA cohorts to prioritize and rectify identified defects.
- Actively engage in the daily operations of feature teams, offering valuable insights into the software development lifecycle.
- Disseminate knowledge and skills among team members to foster a culture of continuous learning.


Must have:
- 3+ years in software testing in software testing, with a minimum of 2 years specialising in automated testing.
- Good knowledges with Typescript and ability to setup test framework from scratch.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Experience in Playwright for test automation tasks
- Comprehensive understanding of REST API concepts.
- Expertise in configuring Continuous Integration  (CI) jobs via Git Hub Actions and pipelines using Jenkins.
- Extensive knowledge and proficiency in utilising Git version control system.
- Practical experience with managing databases, including SQL Server
- Familiarity with Postman or analogous API testing utilities.
- Proven track record of operating within Agile/Scrum development frameworks.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills facilitating effective collaboration with both development teams and stakeholders.
- Sound comprehension of Quality Assurance (QA) processes and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), particularly within agile paradigms.

Will be a plus:
- Knowledge of the AI or ETL testing 
- Load testing

- Does the job come with a probation period, and if so, how long does it last?Yes, there is a three-month probation period.
- What is the expected work schedule?
Full-time, flexible, please start no later than 10:00 (on average 8 hours per day). The office in Kyiv is open from 9:00 to 20:00. You can work remotely and also you can choose hybrid mode where you can combine working on-site and remotely.
- How many vacation and sick days are provided?
Annual paid vacation – 21 working days; Paid confirmed sick leave; 6 unconfirmed sick days/days off a year.
