Node.js Video Streaming Engineer

We are developing a scalable news video streaming platform with advanced ad monetization capabilities. Our goal is to create a technical solution that allows to efficiently embed ad units into streaming video without losing quality of user experience.

Required skills and experience:

• Proficient in NodeJS and at least 3 years of backend development experience
• Experience with video streaming technologies - MUST HAVE
• Knowledge of media server principles and streaming protocols - MUST HAVE
• Experience in integration with advertising systems
• Practice in video stream processing and composing
• Understanding of FFmpeg basics and working with video content at a low level

• Experience in performance optimization and scaling of highly loaded systems

   

Main tasks:

• Development of video streaming system based on NodeJS
• Realization of dynamic ad block insertion service (server-side ad insertion)
• Integration with advertising platforms via APIs
• Optimization of video content layout and delivery processes

• Node.js, NestJS
• FFmpeg/GStreamer
• PostgreSQL
• AWS/GCP services (S3, CloudFront, MediaConvert)
