About the Role
We’re looking for a Mid/Senior Networking Engineer (AWS) to join our client’s team and take ownership of designing, implementing, and optimizing global cloud and hybrid networking infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in cloud networking, large-scale network environments, and strategic architectural planning. You’ll work cross-functionally with DevOps, Security, and Engineering teams to deliver secure, high-performing network solutions.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Software-Defined Networking (SDN) architectures for scalable distributed applications.
• Support hybrid and multi-cloud networking solutions, integrating on-prem and cloud (AWS) environments.
• Enhance dynamic routing designs during migration to cloud platforms.
• Maintain and optimize connectivity between data centers, cloud, and colocation facilities.
• Lead deployment of large-scale, end-to-end network infrastructures.
• Deploy and manage third-party Network Virtual Appliances (NVAs) for secure routing and filtering.
• Identify and implement network automation solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, or Ansible.
• Apply zero-trust principles to ensure secure, compliant infrastructure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance using tools like AWS CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, and ELK.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create scalable and resilient architectures.
• Stay current with AWS networking innovations and industry trends.

🛠 Technical Requirements

• 8–10 years in network engineering with experience in complex, large-scale architectures.
• Strong expertise in Routing/Switching, Firewalls, and Load Balancing in multi-vendor environments.
• Proven experience designing network architecture within AWS.
• Solid understanding of hybrid cloud connectivity and cloud interconnects.
• Hands-on with SDDC, NFV, VxLAN, and Spine-Leaf architectures.
• Proficient in network automation / IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Python.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services: VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, ALB/NLB, Route 53, Global Accelerator.
• Experience with monitoring tools: AWS CloudWatch, Wireshark, NetFlow, ThousandEyes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities; able to lead cross-functional initiatives.

✅ Nice to Have

• Certifications: CCIE (Service Provider, Enterprise, or Data Center), AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty.
• Experience with multi-cloud networking (Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, CNI plugins, Istio, service mesh.
• Knowledge of DDoS mitigation and AWS security tools (Shield, WAF, NACLs).
