Senior JavaScript Developer

We are looking for a talented Senior JavaScript Developer to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in migrating a large community platform with millions of active users from .NET to a modern JavaScript/TypeScript stack. This project involves creating a new system from scratch and strategically migrating existing data, offering you an exciting opportunity to significantly influence architecture and technology decisions.

Project Overview: Our team is developing a robust, scalable, and high-performance community platform. The application will be entirely rebuilt using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React.js, Next.js, and PostgreSQL, and will be deployed on AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and implement high-quality software solutions.
• Develop robust backend services using Node.js and PostgreSQL.
• Build responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using React.js and Next.js.
• Collaborate closely with PM, project owners, designer, and other developers to define technical solutions.
• Lead technical decisions, ensuring best practices, scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
• Assist in planning the migration strategy and execute data migrations safely and effectively.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, React.js, and Next.js.
• Proven experience developing scalable applications and services.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of tasks.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience migrating systems from legacy technologies (.NET or similar) to JavaScript/TypeScript stacks.
• Experience with performance optimization and monitoring in large-scale environments.
