Software Engineer (Scraping, Database Optimization) to $6000 Offline

We’re seeking a Data Extraction Specialist to build robust scraping systems and database infrastructure during our rapid growth phase. You’ll design solutions for challenging websites, implement data pipelines, and optimize PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB performance for massive datasets. If you thrive on complex technical challenges and building scalable systems, this role is for you.

About the job

• You’ll design and implement sophisticated web scraping solutions for difficult-to-scrape websites
• You’ll build and maintain robust, scalable data collection systems that can handle challenging anti-scraping measures
• You’ll set up and optimize PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB databases for processing and storing large-scale time-series data
• You’ll manage our cloud infrastructure using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Google Cloud Platform
• You’ll develop end-to-end data pipelines from collection to storage, ensuring data quality and accessibility

About You

• You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and are comfortable with ambiguity
• You’re a self-starter who can work independently but also collaborate and communicate effectively with a small, tight-knit team.
• You have proven experience building advanced web scrapers for complex, protected websites
• You’re an expert in modern scraping techniques and tools like Puppeteer, Selenium, or similar
• You have strong experience with Google Cloud Platform, specifically GKE and Kubernetes
• You possess advanced PostgreSQL database design and optimization skills You know how to design and manage systems that handle massive datasets efficiently.
• You’re proficient in Node JS and Typescript.
• Ideally, you have experience with proxy management and fingerprinting avoidance.
• Strong English communication skills
