About the Role
The company is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the Platform Team and take ownership of maintaining and improving Google Cloud Platform for their products.
Responsibilities
- Automate deployment processes and optimize cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor cloud costs, improve performance and availability.
- Provide engineering teams with solid tooling and expertise in the software delivery lifecycle.
- Ensure security and maintain internal IT processes smoothly.
Requirements
✅ Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane (Google Config Connector is a plus!).
✅ Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Azure, or ideally Google Cloud Platform.
✅ Kubernetes Expertise: Proficiency in Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and ArgoCD.
✅ Programming Skills: Solid foundation in Golang and/or Python.
✅ Backend Familiarity: Knowledge of Ruby on Rails, Elixir, or JavaScript/Node.
✅ Monitoring & Observability: Experience with OpenTelemetry, PromQL, and Grafana.
✅ Soft Skills:
- Proactive, curious, and resourceful mindset.
- Excellent communication skills (written & spoken English).
- Strong organizational skills to enhance collaboration.
