Duration: Temporary Project (~6 months, with potential extension)

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Angular Front-End Developer to lead the migration of our complex web application from AngularJS (1.4.8) to the latest Angular version. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in Angular migrations and have a proven track record of successfully upgrading complex front-end systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the migration of our legacy AngularJS (v1.4.8) front-end to Angular v19.
• Evaluate current front-end architecture, recommending best practices and identifying potential risks and bottlenecks during the migration.
• Collaborate closely with back-end developers, QA engineers, and product stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and minimal disruption.
• Set up development standards and guidelines for Angular best practices post-migration.
• Optimize front-end codebase, ensuring maintainability, performance, and scalability post-migration.
• Leverage modern AI co-pilot tools like Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar generative AI assistants to expedite and streamline development tasks.

• Mentor junior developers and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions.

   

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in front-end web development.
• Extensive hands-on experience migrating AngularJS applications (v1.x) to modern Angular (version 10 and above).
• Deep understanding of modern front-end frameworks and web development technologies (TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3).
• Proven experience working with complex SaaS web applications, preferably in e-commerce.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leveraging generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) in real-world front-end development projects.
• Established network of skilled Angular developers, capable of assisting in creating and managing a temporary migration team.
• Previous migration experience from AngularJS to Angular for large-scale SaaS applications.
