Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js) – Neobank Startup (US Market) Offline

About the Project:

We’re building a next-generation neobank in collaboration with a leading fintech company. The product will provide seamless digital banking services, integrating with financial institutions, aggregators, and third-party service providers to deliver a world-class customer experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop scalable backend services using Node.js.
• Design and implement API integrations with banks, financial aggregators, and external services.
• Decompose business requirements into technical tasks, ensuring clarity and feasibility.
• Optimize system performance and reliability, ensuring high availability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers and product managers.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced startup environment, where problem-solving is key.
• Maintain high coding standards, writing clean, efficient, and testable code.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API-first development.
• Experience integrating with financial institutions, third-party services, or APIs.
• Cloud expertise (AWS, GCP, or similar) for deploying and managing services.
• Proficiency in SQL & NoSQL databases.
• Ability to break down business requirements into well-defined, actionable tasks.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong startup mindset – ability to adapt, iterate quickly, and deliver results.

Nice-to-Have:

➕ Experience in fintech, payments, or neobanking.
➕ Familiarity with serverless architecture.
➕ Understanding of security best practices in financial applications.
