Team Lead - *Hands on* (Frontend & Backend) – Fintech Startup (Remote)

We are an AI-driven fintech startup in stealth mode, building a powerful tool for finance managers in medium to large companies to track and manage expenses and revenue. As we scale, we’re looking for an experienced Team Lead to take charge of both our frontend and backend development teams.

About the Role

As our Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding our developers, ensuring high-quality code, meeting project deadlines, and driving technical excellence. You will work closely with our founders to shape the product roadmap and lead the development of scalable and efficient software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of frontend and backend developers, ensuring timely delivery of features.
• Review and improve code quality through PR reviews and best practices.
• Set technical direction and define architectural decisions for scalable software.
• Mentor and guide developers, fostering a strong engineering culture.
• Ensure project deadlines are met without compromising quality.
• Collaborate closely with the founders to align development with business goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• MANDATORY: 2+ years of experience managing developers and conducting code reviews. (Please do not apply if you do not have a resume of managing at least 2 years)
• Proven ability to lead projects, enforce best practices, and meet deadlines.
• Frontend Tech: Expertise in NextJS, TypeScript, Zustand, React Query, TanStack Table.
• Backend Tech: Expertise in Python, FastAPI, AWS EC2, AuroraDB.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Location

• Remote role, open to candidates from Eastern Europe.
