Job Overview
As we scale our infrastructure and AI-powered capabilities, we're seeking a System Administrator / DevOps Engineer with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing secure, scalable, cloud-based systems. This hybrid role will focus on cloud operations, automation, system security, and internal tooling. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Infrastructure Management
- Manage and optimize cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for high availability, performance, and security.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation) for scalable, repeatable deployments.
DevOps & Automation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins) to streamline development and release processes.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Systems Administration
- Administer and support Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS), ensuring uptime, user management, and configuration.
- Manage Active Directory and enforce group policies, user provisioning, and access control.
- Configure and maintain DNS records including MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Handle SSL/TLS certificate procurement, deployment, and renewal.
- Perform regular system updates, backups, and security patching.
Monitoring & Incident Response
- Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, CloudWatch).
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues to minimize downtime.
Security & Compliance
- Implement and enforce cloud and system security best practices.
- Manage IAM roles, firewall rules, VPN configurations, and vulnerability monitoring.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with developers, AI engineers, and leadership to ensure seamless platform performance.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of systems, procedures, and troubleshooting workflows.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3+ years of experience as a SysAdmin, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer
- Expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong background in CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and scripting
- Familiarity with email systems (Zimbra) and directory services (Active Directory)
- Strong understanding of DNS configurations, email security protocols, and SSL/TLS management
- Solid knowledge of networking, security, and IAM best practices
- Experience in high-growth startup or agile environments is a plus
