Senior Backend Engineer (Python)

Our client is a Shopify app that helps e-commerce businesses promote their products on Facebook and Google. As a recognized partner of Facebook and Google, they provide seamless automation and optimization for online advertising.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the team full-time. As a core member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining backend systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using Python 3 and Django.
• Optimize database performance with SQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL.
• Implement and manage AWS infrastructure and Docker-based deployments.
• Ensure platform reliability by troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with the product team to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain high-quality coding standards.
• Continuously improve and optimize backend systems for scalability and performance.

This Role is Perfect for You If You...

• Have strong experience with Python 3 and Django.
• Are skilled in database management (SQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).
• Understand web technologies and protocols (HTTP, REST APIs, WebSockets).
• Have experience with Docker and cloud deployments on AWS.
• Have built scalable and maintainable backend architectures.
• Are comfortable working in a Linux-based environment.
• Love solving complex technical challenges and optimizing system performance.
• Are detail-oriented when writing clean, maintainable code.
• Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and contributing to its success.

It’s a Plus If You Have...

• Experience with JavaScript and front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with GoLang and GraphQL.
• Worked with Facebook Marketing API, Google Ads API, or Shopify APIs.
