Senior Shopify Payment Integration Developer Offline

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Senior Shopify Payment Integration Developer to develop and maintain a payment gateway integration for Shopify-based eCommerce platforms. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Shopify’s API ecosystem, understands payment processing flows, and can ensure a seamless, secure, and reliable transaction experience for merchants and customers.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Development & Integration

  •  Design, develop, and implement a custom payment gateway and integrations for Shopify.

  •  Work with Shopify Payments

  •  Ensure seamless integration of payment solutions into the Shopify checkout process.

  •  Optimize payment flows for performance, scalability, and security.

🔹 Maintenance & Support

  •  Monitor, debug, and resolve issues related to payment transactions.

  •  Ensure compliance with GDPR, and other relevant security standards.

  •  Provide ongoing maintenance and support for payment integrations.

  •  Work closely with the support team to troubleshoot and resolve merchant issues.

🔹 Collaboration & Documentation

  •  Collaborate with a cross-functional team

  •  Maintain detailed documentation of payment APIs, workflows, and integration processes.

  •  Stay updated with Shopify API updates, industry trends, and security best practices.

Requirements

✅ Technical Skills

  •  Strong experience with Shopify API, Shopify App Development, and Liquid.

  •  Proficiency in Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Python, or PHP (depending on tech stack).

  •  Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and Webhooks.

  •  Deep understanding of payment processing, gateways, and security compliance.

  •  Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, and encryption techniques.

✅ Soft Skills & Experience

  •  3+ years of experience in Shopify payment integrations.

  •  Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.

  •  Ability to collaborate in a remote, agile environment.

  •  Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

➕ Experience with Shopify Plus and crypto-currency payments.

➕ Knowledge of fraud prevention tools and chargeback management.

➕ Familiarity with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Firebase Functions).

➕ Experience working with financial institutions or fintech solutions.
