Quantitative Python Developer Offline
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Developer to join our client’s dynamic team. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Lead Developer and Founder/Portfolio Manager. The role is remote, with required training and occasional travel to London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Management: Maintain, organize, and expand the SQL Server database. Ensure data integrity, optimize performance, and support efficient data retrieval and processing.
- Backtesting and Strategy Development: Design and implement backtesting models and stock screening strategies using Python. Collaborate with the investment team to refine, test, and deploy new strategies.
- Process Automation: Develop and execute automation workflows to streamline operations, reduce manual tasks, and enhance efficiency.
- Risk Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of risk management systems. Analyze risk metrics and provide actionable insights to mitigate potential risks.
- User Interface Development: Create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for internal tools and applications, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Code Documentation: Write comprehensive code comments and maintain thorough documentation to support collaboration and future development.
System Development: Enhance and maintain proprietary investment management systems and libraries. Develop clean, scalable, and efficient code to support investment strategies.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and computer science principles.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 1 year in a development team environment. Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Python programming. Experience with SQL, HTML, and VBA is a plus. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and automation tools is advantageous.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Capable of working with large datasets to derive actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently in a remote setting. Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude.
