Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  1. Execute test runs for new feature development based on test suites and test cases; report findings.
  2. Update and improve existing legacy test cases in Qase.io, creating new ones as needed.
  3. Communicate insights and test results with the product and development team using structured reports from Qase.io exports.
  4. Conduct testing across multiple contexts: API, functional & non-functional, acceptance, regression, GUI, sanity, and smoke testing.
  5. Perform regression testing, ensuring system stability after updates as needed
  6. Logging bugs in Jira and using Confluence for additional documentation when necessary.
  7. Investigation and troubleshooting

Work Dynamics

  1. Communication via Slack for daily interactions.
  2. Video calls via Google Meet as necessary.
  3. Work in Kyiv timezone (UTC+2); nearby time zones are acceptable.
  4. Most of the technical team speaks Ukrainian and English.
  5. Work language is English
  6. 100% remote role with flexible working hours.
  7. Expected 30 hours of core work per week, with a minimum of 4 hours per day.
  8. Work hours are flexible, but availability via text is preferred during agreed-upon hours.
  9. Direct supervisor: Co-founder.

Requirements

  1. Experience with manual QA testing, including test execution, reporting, and improvement.
  2. Experience with requirements and technical specifications;
  3. Excellent knowledge of test theory and ability to apply test design techniques;
  4. Ability to write bug reports and test cases
  5. Familiarity with Qase.io (or similar test case management tools).
  6. Strong written English; good spoken English is a bonus.
  7. You should understand the ‘meta’ of software testing—what works best in different testing contexts, how to prioritize test, when to adapt strategies, and how to optimize test coverage effectively

  1. Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to generate and structure test cases for import/export into Qase.io (guidance provided if needed).
  2. Knowledge of automated testing is a bonus, with potential to introduce scripted test execution for repetitive regression testing.

Payment Dynamics

  1. Compensation: Up to $5-8/hr, based on experience. Please apply only if this range works for you. Applications requesting a higher rate will not be considered.

Onboarding time window

  • First 30 days → Onboarding and skill assessment under close supervision; Feedback after 30 days.
  • First 60 days → General probation.
  • 90-day total probation period, followed by quarterly performance reviews if the candidate continues.

Process description

  • Questionnaire – Complete a short 5-10 minute form covering technical skills and work dynamics.
  • Review & Feedback – We assess your responses and inform you if you move forward.
  • Meet & Greet – A 15-30 minute interview to discuss your experience and expectations.
  • Homework assignment – Final candidates will receive a short home assignment to complete.
  • Final Review – We provide feedback on the outcome.
  • Contract Offer – If successful, we move forward with NDA, hitting “Hire” and onboarding!
