QA Wizard for an early stage US-based startup Offline

OpenCourt is a sports club booking and membership management SaaS. We're a B2B product in the niche of pickleball, the fastest growing sport in America (look it up!). We're growing very rapidly.

We're a small team of 6 people. We've built the product over the last year. Now we're starting to grow REALLY fast. We're building a LOT of features, fast. We're doing 1-2 releases a week. The product is pretty complex.

Currently, developers are testing their work, then most of acceptance and deep testing is done by me.

I need you to take that over from me. You'll become an expert in our product. You'll become a gatekeeper for our releases. You'll be working closely and efficiently with the development team to make sure they have what they need to finalize their work and fix any issues you find. You'll make sure I don't have to do any QA other than taking a glance at it.

You'll become a person who will completely remove the stress of pushing new releases to production from me. You'll also be the person who will help make sure developer's PRs don't sit open for more than 1-2 days. I need to not to have to think about any of it, so that I can focus on our growth as a company. I'll still be very involved in the Product management side of things.

About You:

- You're very technical

- You're very detail-oriented and process-oriented

- You're not afraid to work in ambiguity and manage your own work

- You love working in small, efficient teams

- You're very flexible and open-minded

- You have a decent eye for what great UX is supposed to be

- You will do both manual QA and establish automated QA

- You know how to leverage AI and open to learning to leveraging AI to generate lots of E2E Playwright tests

- Your conversational English is good (although most of your teammates will be Ukrainian)

If your whole career was working at large companies with large QA departments, this is NOT a job for you. At OpenCourt, you'll be the one-man show ensuring the quality of all of the work our small team produces, for the foreseeable future.

We're here to take over the racquet sports software industry in the US and then in the world and you'll be a crucial part of making it happen.

Our Tech Stack:

- Next.js, Typescript, Tailwind

- Postgres, Prisma ORM

- Vercel deployment, Supabase for auth and db

- Playwright E2E tests

- React Native mobile app (wrapper around our web ui)

- ClickUp, Qase

We're based in the US but the whole team is remote. You'll be working with some Ukraine-based developers, but will also need overlap with the CDT timezone.
