About the Project:
You will join a team dedicated to advancing internal Generative AI (GenAI) initiatives within the firm. This distributed team spans multiple locations across North America, Europe, and Latin America and is focused on driving innovation and delivering impactful AI-powered solutions.

Tech Stack:
Python, FastAPI, SQL, Docker, CI/CD. Experience with GenAI, OpenAI, C#, or Elixir is a plus.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in IT, with strong backend engineering expertise.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with REST frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
• Experience with additional programming languages such as C# or Elixir is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL or cloud equivalents (e.g., Amazon RDS).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including application deployment and management.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Generative AI concepts and their application to real-world scenarios.
• Experience working with Bolt for Slack or Outlook plugin systems is a plus.
• Prior experience leading, mentoring, and supporting software engineers.
• Proficiency with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Ability to collaborate with product teams and tech leaders to define clear development specifications.
• A mindset focused on fostering a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (advanced degrees are preferred).
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Python Engineer on the Aurora team, you will lead a diverse group of engineers, contributing to internal GenAI initiatives aimed at revolutionizing firm-wide processes such as meeting scheduling, invoicing, and time management.

Your role will involve:

• Acting as a bridge between the development team and the broader Aurora ecosystem.
• Leading the design, development, and maintenance of complex software components.
• Driving the implementation of new features, improvements, and bug fixes.
• Deploying, configuring, and managing applications on AWS, including resource provisioning and infrastructure optimization.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues, debugging code, and troubleshooting infrastructure-related challenges.
• Ensuring compliance with software engineering best practices, architectural guidelines, and development roadmaps.
• Playing a key role in fostering innovation and delivering impactful AI solutions across the firm.
