Automated Quality Assurance (AQA) Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Automated Quality Assurance (AQA) Engineer to join our team and help expand and maintain our growing test automation framework. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with UI and API automation (TypeScript/Playwright preferred) and be comfortable contributing to testing processes that are still evolving. You will work closely with developers and product managers to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Test Design & Documentation: Write and maintain test cases, test plans, and strategies for new and existing features.
- UI & API Automation: Build and maintain automated test suites (approx. 60% UI, 40% API) with Playwright (TypeScript).
- Manual Testing Support: Perform exploratory/manual testing where automation is not yet in place.
- Database Validation: Use MongoDB for preparing test data, updating local environments, and verifying test results.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers to refine requirements, align QA and development efforts, and provide fast feedback.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas for test reporting, CI/CD integration, and process improvements as these are implemented.

Requirements:
- UI Automation: Strong experience with Playwright (TypeScript) or similar tools (e.g., Cypress).
- API Automation: Comfortable testing APIs through code-based frameworks (Playwright preferred).
- Database Skills: Basic working knowledge of MongoDB for validations and test data handling.
- Containerization: Practical experience with Docker for managing local test environments.
- Collaboration: Ability to work closely with developers and communicate QA needs effectively.
- Testing Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; ability to balance automation with necessary manual testing.

Nice to Have:
- Performance Testing: Experience with tools like JMeter or Gatling to support upcoming performance test needs.
- BDD: Exposure to Cucumber/SpecFlow or similar tools, with interest in writing/maintaining tests in plain language.
- CI/CD: Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
