Design Project Manager

We are looking for a Design Project Manager to join our in-house design team. You will manage the client's expectations while overseeing the progress of the solution and the interface designers' team. We are pursuing the following industries (but not limited to): Professional Services, including Financial and Accounting web and mobile applications; Digital Services: Human Resources, Remote work, Productivity related systems; E-commerce; Logistics and Transportation, and more.

 

Requirements
 

General:

  • You have worked with creative teams and clients before (agency or studio experience will be a huge plus)
  • You know how to gather requirements in the way the team expects it — it is better to work with creative briefs rather than with ready-made solutions
  • You hear the customer, but you do not let them manage your team

 

Practical:

  • Design creation and project flow understanding — it is important to us that you know how an interface is created and implemented
  • Design background and understanding of the UX principles is a HUGE plus
  • Can suggest design solutions when the designer is not available (e.g. on the client call)
  • Strong knowledge of PM methodologies (Agile and Waterfall) including project planning, goal setting, risk and time management, evaluation and allocation of the resources, and more
  • Knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of SAFe
  • Experience in task & time tracking systems (we use ClickUp)

 

Will be a plus:

  • Experience in board collaboration and mind mapping tools (we mostly use Miro and FigJam)
  • Basic knowledge of Figma functionality (we expect that you will be able to navigate, copy, and move mockup elements, and change UX copy)
  • Knowledge of design process methodologies (Agile UX and Lean UX)
  • Understanding of UX Writing principles
  • Understanding of WCAG principles
  • Basic knowledge of HCD, UCD, and other methodologies
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools (Google or Adobe Omniture) & data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau)
  • Knowledge of SDLC

Languages: 

  • English: all of our clients speak English, so it is crucial for you to have at least an Upper-Intermediate+ / B2+ level (IELTS or TOEFL certification will be a plus)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a design team on a project
  • Leading the client (keeping in mind that the project ownership is on your side)
  • Gathering requirements
  • Validation of the project scope with the team and confirmation of it with the client
  • Create and manage feasible timelines
  • Maintain a project backlog
  • Timely response to customer requests & clearly address them to the design team
  • Risk management
  • Perform and manage design demos
  • Create and maintain project documentation
  • Create and maintain tasks within the task-tracking toolset
  • Communicate and establish a delivery process with the development team
