Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in web systems to join our growing Data Team. In this role, you will be responsible for building systems that automate statistics gathering, developing APIs to deliver these statistics on demand, and enhancing both client-side (web browser) and backend (Python) applications. This role is ideal for someone with strong programming skills, a solid understanding of web technologies, and a interest in automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop systems for automated statistics collection.
  • Build APIs to provide real-time access to collected statistics.
  • Research and improve both client-side (web browser) and backend (Python) applications.
  • Automate data pipelines to improve operational efficiency.

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong Python programming skills.
  • Solid understanding of API development and integration.
  • Experience in automating data pipelines.
  • Understanding of HTTP, web browsers, and JavaScript execution within web browsers (with a focus on networking and performance).
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line operations.
  • Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
  • Proficient in using ChatGPT and other LLMs in everyday work.

 

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Google CloudAWS, or Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and concepts.
  • Knowledge of BigQuery and ClickHouse.

You will also interact with the Web Development team, but less frequently.
