Senior Backend Developer (Node.js) to $5500

Position Overview:

Top Tier Authentics is on the lookout for a skilled and innovative Senior Backend Developer to lead the charge in revolutionizing product authentication through blockchain technology. We're seeking someone adept in Node.js, Typescript, React, and Next.js, with a passion for creating dynamic solutions. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features that enhance product authenticity and user experience.
• Leverage your expertise in NodeJs / Typescript and the Moleculer Framework to build and maintain a high-performance backend infrastructure.
• Ensure seamless integration with external systems and databases, primarily PostgreSQL.
• Implement efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms, utilizing technologies like Redis for caching.
• Design and optimize communication channels using NATS for effective transport in a pub/sub architecture.
• Uphold coding standards and implement best practices for code quality and maintainability.
• Conduct thorough testing, including unit and integration testing, to ensure the reliability of the developed features.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues promptly, conducting root cause analysis when necessary.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and contribute innovative ideas to enhance our authentication services.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
• Participate in code reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize development processes.

Tech Stack:

• Typescript / NodeJs
• Frameworks: Moleculer
• Google Cloud Platform (IAM, Storage Buckets, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub Queues), Cloud SQL (Postgres engine), GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)
• IaC: Terraform / Terragrunt
• Docker / Kubernetes
• Understanding of Microservices architectures & high-load systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years of NodeJs development. 
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles and architecture design.
• Experience with backend development, cloud services, and database management.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
• Expertise in blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized application will be a great plus.
