WordPress Developer

YELK is seeking a skilled and proactive PHP/WordPress Developer to join our team

Job description:

As a member of our team, your primary focus will be developing custom WordPress themes based on Figma designs, and custom plugins.

We expect candidates to have a team-oriented mindset and a sense of project responsibility.

Responsibilities:

- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins and provide support for existing solutions;

- Optimize performance and maintain existing WordPress websites to retain Google Page Speed Scores;

- Development of projects on Woocommerce;

- Engage in client communication to understand and meet project requirements;

- Estimate project timelines and deliverables.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of experience with WordPress (custom WordPress plugin and theme development);

- Proficiency in PHP 7.4, PHP 8.*, and an understanding of their differences;

- Understanding of JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Markup principles for WordPress-based projects;

- Knowledge of REST API;

- Practical experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP);

- Familiarity with Git and SSH;

- Strong documentation skills for code and solutions;

- Ability to understand and follow both internal and third-party documentation;

- Intermediate or higher English proficiency for effective verbal and written communication.

Would be a plus:

- Experience with Elementor/WPBakary;

- Experience in site optimization for Google Page Speed;

- Knowledge of Apache and Nginx server technologies;

- Knowledge of Laravel framework.
