Octo Games is a game development company based in the Netherlands, specializing in PC projects. With over 3 years in the industry, we have successfully launched more than 100 titles. We are currently expanding our team to include an analytical division aimed at tracking the success of our games, understanding why certain games go viral, and more.

About You:

• You possess a versatile skill set in full-stack development, with 1-3 years of experience crafting and deploying scalable web applications.
• You thrive in the chaos and potential of startup environments, eager to set the technical direction and infrastructure.
• Proficient in full-stack technologies; experience in database management and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL); experience with ETL processes.
• Proficient in TypeScript, React, Node.js, serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, Cloud Functions).
• Experience with AWS or GCP.
• You are passionate about building intuitive, high-performance web applications from the ground up, with a portfolio to show for it.
• You're a problem solver at heart, ready to tackle challenges head-on and push beyond conventional boundaries to achieve extraordinary results.
• Collaboration excites you; you're ready to work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to bring a shared vision to life.

In this role, you will:

• Take ownership of various features from start to finish, including customer-facing features, back-end infrastructure, and internal infrastructure.
• Develop and deploy these features to production.
• Collaborate closely with our customers and team.

Our hiring process:

1. HR Interview: An initial interview with our HR team to discuss your background, experience, and cultural fit.
2. Test Task: You will be given a test task to assess your technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
3. Final Interview: A final interview with the founder and an external technical specialist, where you will present your test task.
