Protonix is looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer (Node.js) to join the team. 
You’ll be challenged to build new features, think about new ways to grow, 
craft new services as needed.
What you will do:
● Participate in the development of the back-end part of financial 
trading platform written in NodeJS
● Develop new and support existing backend microservices
● Perform code reviews
● Optimize platform for maximum speed and scalability
● Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
● Integrate software components into a fully functional software 
system
● Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metric
Requirements are:
● 4+ years of experience working on high-quality production software
● 2+ years of experience working with NodeJS
● Comfortable working with microservices architectures
● Experience building RESTful web services
● Experience working with PostgreSQL, Redis, MySQL
● Experience with a cloud provider (AWS/Google) is considered an 
asset
● Experience with microservices architecture
● Integrating with 3rd-party APIs

● The penchant for learning new technologies balanced with strong 
pragmatic thinking
● Proficient with version control and effective collaborative 
development workflows
● Able to quickly fix bugs and solve problems in large, complex apps
Will be plus:
● Used virtual machines and containerization technologies such as 
Docker
● Experience with Python, Java, PHP
