VOS Performance Engineer
Requirements:
At least 5 years of hands-on experience
Strong technical QA experience
Strong expertise in performance testing and tuning
Excellent skills in defining, documenting, and analyzing system workload
Excellent test case execution and troubleshooting skills
Experience in UNIX /Linux operating systems
Knowledge of PL/1
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well across teams
Strong analytical skills - understand business processes and issues from business users
Good level of verbal and written communication in English.
Expertise in the Telecommunications domain
Job Responsibilities
- Knowledge acquisition: learn assigned product to smallest details, become a good expert in the product
- Work closely with the Dev team and other stakeholders to understand the project goals and requirements
- Performance Validation Plan and Performance Results documentation
- Set up and drive high system product alarm traffic and validate product response times, resource usage, throughput, availability and stability
- Benchmark and volume testing including execution of monitoring tools and interpretation of results
- Analyze test results to determine performance impact (improvement/degradation)
- Develop tuning recommendations as needed
- Create customer capacity studies analyzing system workload (including alarm and message rates), projected growth and resource utilization and -network elements communication/protocol interface requirements
- Determine new hardware needs and/or rebalancing NE channel reassignments across servers
- Oncall troubleshooting of field performance issues
- Support for customer data migrations
- Execute performance tests as needed for client site problem determination/fix validation
- Maintain and update performance test scripts as needed
- Be responsible for the quality of software product

GlobalLogic is building a team that will be responsible for a specific area - maintenance of products that are utilized by major US telecom operators.
