AWS Infrastructure Cloud Engineer (offline)

Responsibilities:
Cloud Account Setup & Identity:
β€’ AWS account creation work
β€’ Setting up Route53 resolver rules/incoming connections to work with new URL routing requirements in AWS accounts
β€’ Sharing of Route53 resolver rules with other accounts and liaising with Infra engineering to ensure DNS lookups work from on-prem
β€’ Adjusting ADFS roles at the overall org level and by account by account as per requests
β€’ IAM role updates/S3 bucket permission updates for CM and BH Systematic work
β€’ Shell scripting for AWS IAM key rotation

Cloud Networking:
β€’ Creation of endpoint service infrastructure so that clients can connect to the company services
β€’ Creation of endpoint connections so that the company can connect to external services
β€’ Setting up connected VPCs and Transit GW connections for new region requirements
β€’ Setting up of DMZ VPCs, setting up peering and routing so that we can provide connectivity in a secure manner.
β€’ Setting up new Regions on AWS. This involves changes to DirectConnect Gateways and setting up of a new Transit Gateway and routing for it

Cloud Security & DevOps pipelines:
β€’ Working with Dev teams and CyberSec team to make sure we follow security best practices when setting up endpoints
β€’ Writing shell scripts to do AWS key rotation and running them to make sure we keep up with security best practices
β€’ Terraform code reviews when other teams want to contribute to the SRE Infra terraform
β€’ CloudHealth role deployment and code review with the SecOps teams

Cloud Storage:
β€’ Setting up NetApp cloud for Tiering
β€’ Working with dev teams when sharing data using RDS Snapshots/S3 buckets etc
β€’ NetApp Cloud setup and changes

Mandatory Skills Description:
β€’ Extensive experience in all areas of responsibilities above (Route 53, IAM, Terraform, etc.)
β€’ Extensive Background in AWS Infrastructure experience - not just AWS development
β€’ Deep understanding of AWS at all levels (EC2, IAM, Redshift, Aurora, VPC, SQS etc.)
β€’ Expert in infrastructure as a code and related tools as Terraform
β€’ Solid understanding of Linux.
β€’ Solid knowledge around containers (Docker, Podman, LXC).
β€’ Experience developing CI/CD pipelines, GitLab (preferred), GitHub or Git (including runners).
β€’ Experience with operating open source products for example Apache, NGINX, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sentry, ELK.
β€’ Excellent coding skills.
β€’ Ability to direct work of other junior members.
β€’ Understanding of all of the above with regard to scale, security and reliability.
