QA Engineer (offline)

The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous testing and analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a collaborative and innovative environment.
This is a hands-on position. Candidates should have experience working in a contemporary environment that incorporates a formalized software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly evaluate software applications.
• Conduct functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to identify bugs, defects, and other issues.
• Collaborate closely with software developers and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and specifications.
• Work proactively to prevent defects by identifying potential areas of weakness in software designs and implementations.
• Document and track defects, issues, and enhancements using bug-tracking systems.
• Provide clear and concise reports on test results, including recommendations for improvements and corrective actions.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the quality of software products throughout the development lifecycle.
• Implement automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
• Participate in project meetings, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives to provide input on QA-related matters and contribute to overall project success.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies related to software quality assurance.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2+ years’ experience in software quality assurance/testing roles, preferably with web applications.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and best practices.
• Skills in business requirements analysis.
• Proficiency in writing and executing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases, defect management and reporting test results.
• Experience with browser Dev Tools for analyzing error logs and facilitating efficient issue investigation and debugging.
• Familiarity with test management and bug-tracking systems (e.g. TestRail, Jira, Confluence)
• Knowledge and practical experience working with SQL.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright).
• Solid understanding of programming languages concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Self-motivated, self-disciplined, result-oriented and able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with API frameworks and tools (e.g. Postman) is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.

Additional Information
This is a full-time, fully remote role from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm (flexibility available on this)
