Project Overview:
The project is an ambitious initiative aimed at overhauling Client's legacy data systems with a modern, AWS-based Snowflake platform. This transformation is critical for integrating sales data across improving data reliability, and supporting dynamic business decisions. The project faces challenges due to the diversity and customization of legacy systems, making data consolidation and analysis complex yet vital for success.

Role Summary:
* As a Data Analyst on the project, you will play a pivotal role in mapping, analyzing, and ensuring the quality and consistency of data migrating from various legacy systems into the new Snowflake platform. This position requires a keen analytical mind, proficiency in SQL and Python, and an in-depth understanding of data warehousing principles.
* We are seeking an individual with strong analytical skills, proficiency in data manipulation and data mapping, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, documenting the business rules and data logic, and communicate findings effectively. Some level of data modelling is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive data analysis to support the mapping of data from 2 old platforms to the new Snowflake-based common data model.
* Work closely with the Data Architect to define and validate data mapping rules, ensuring seamless integration of diverse data sets.
* Develop and execute SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring data integrity and alignment with project objectives.
* Utilize Python for data preprocessing, cleansing, and automation tasks to enhance data quality and efficiency.
* Participate in the testing and validation of data pipelines, employing rigorous analytical methods to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
* Collaborate with the US-based data engineering team to understand the existing data bricks platform and contribute to the migration strategy to Snowflake.
* Support the continuous improvement of data models and ETL processes, incorporating feedback from stakeholders to meet evolving business needs
* Analyses ticketing data, investigation of complex and or convoluted data issues.
* Documentation of business rules and data logic.
* Presentation and playback of data and issues to data team.
* Prepare and present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
* Own the data testing and reconciliation efforts.
* Conduct data quality assessments, identify gaps, and implement strategies to enhance data integrity.
* Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand data trends, identify key insights, and recommend actionable strategies.
* Collaborate with product teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
* Monitoring and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity.


Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience with SQL and familiarity with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake.
* Proficient in Python, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in both Python and R.
* Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL processes, and data modeling.
* Experience with data quality assurance and validation techniques.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets and translate these into actionable business strategies.
* Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences, including revenue managers and senior stakeholders.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.

Desirable Skills:
* Experience with data bricks or similar platforms.
* Familiarity with AWS services and DBT.
* Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate insights.
* Understanding of the entertainment or ticketing industry is a plus.

* Project Overview: “JJ” New Data Integration Initiative
* Background:
* The “JJ” New Data Integration Project is a strategic initiative to integrate and streamline data from a recent acquisition comprising five theaters. The project aims to migrate data, currently housed on a Databricks platform, to Client's modern Snowflake environment, aligning with Client's broader vision of leveraging AWS cloud services for enhanced data analytics and business intelligence.

Objective:
* The primary goal is to create a unified, reliable data ecosystem that supports advanced analytics, reporting, and decision-making processes. This involves mapping and transforming JJ's diverse datasets into a common data model that aligns with Client’s operations, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and accessibility of data across the organization.
* Work with Client’s Data team to deliver the data Integrations solution and blend the data with the broader venue data sourced from the acquired system.
* Build out the automated testing framework and deliver across unit/integration/regression testing. Enable the ability to consolidated ticketing and venue reporting which will be built by the Client’s Data team.
* Ensure data and solution is accurate, timely and consistent for holistic view and build all testing and reconciliation outputs to give the Client’s business confidence that the data matches the existing Data Platform.
* Scope:
* Integration of JJ ticketing data, including pre-purchased F&B data, from JJ Data Platform (JDP) to the big Client’s Data Warehouse.
* JJ venue and ticketing data merged into common Data model.
* JJ pre-purchased F&B product data (sold through SeThe client eek when you buy a ticket) modelled and combined with client NA data.
* Team Composition:
* Lead Data Engineer:
* Oversees the technical execution of the JJ project, coordinating the data engineering efforts, defining project milestones, and ensuring alignment with The client 's data strategy.
* Data Engineers:
* Responsible for designing and implementing the data pipelines that facilitate the migration of JJ's data to the Snowflake platform. They work on the technical aspects of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
* Data Architect
* Design, build and maintain the data architecture to support business objectives. The focus is on defining data architecture standards and best practices and implementing scalable and efficient data solutions. Design and develop conceptual and logical data models. Define data entities, attributes, relationships, and data flows. Support scalability and future integration needs.
* Data Analyst(s):
* Key to the project's success, Data Analysts conduct in-depth analysis to map JJ's data to the client common data model. They are instrumental in identifying data relationships, cleansing data, and supporting the validation of migrated data.
* DevOps Engineer:
* Focuses on establishing a robust data operations framework to support the JJ project, implementing automation, monitoring, and deployment practices that enhance the efficiency and reliability of data processes.
* Project Manager:
* Responsible for the overall project management, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation. The Project Manager ensures that the project remains on track and meets its objectives within the defined timelines and budget.
* Business Analysts:
* Serve as the liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring that the data integration supports business objectives.
