Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our remote team and lead the delivery of e-commerce projects. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple e-commerce projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in managing client-facing, global e-commerce projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple e-commerce projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage project resources, including internal team members, external vendors, and third-party contractors, to ensure optimal project outcomes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including development, design, QA, and business stakeholders, to drive project progress and resolve issues.
2. Stakeholder Communication and Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Effectively communicate project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
3. Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
- Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize their impact on project delivery.
- Proactively address project issues and conflicts, working closely with team members and stakeholders to find timely and effective solutions.
4. Budget and Resource Management:
- Monitor project budgets and resource allocations, ensuring projects are delivered within budget constraints.
- Optimize resource utilization and allocation to maximize project efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Quality Assurance and Delivery Excellence:
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular quality reviews and performance evaluations to ensure deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
6. Process Compliance:
- Follow and maintain best-in-class and industry-standard processes for project delivery, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Continuously assess and improve existing processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness, incorporating industry best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
7. Mentorship and Training:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project managers, assisting in their professional development and growth.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to share best practices and knowledge with junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
8. Resource Negotiation:
- Negotiate for resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget allocations, to support project requirements and objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management and department.
9. Agile Ceremonies:
- Facilitate and run Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to drive project progress and collaboration.
- Work closely with cross-functional Agile teams to prioritize and deliver features and enhancements that align with client needs and project goals.
10. Reporting and Analysis:
- Create and manage weekly status reports and burn reports, providing stakeholders with transparent insights into project progress, risks, and issues.
- Analyze project data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, proactively addressing potential roadblocks to project success.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on e-commerce solutions.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex e-commerce projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results.
- Experience working remotely and managing global teams across multiple time zones.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple e-commerce projects simultaneously.
- Strong client-facing experience, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate for resources and manage project budgets.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience running Agile ceremonies.
- Experience creating and managing project status reports and burn reports.
- PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
- Advanced English level.
