Automation QA Engineer – Junior

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Junior AQA Engineer, your area of responsibility is split between manual testing and creating automated tests. The split is determined by ongoing development and may vary overtime, but as time goes it will move more towards creating automated tests. Your responsibilities include:
• Maintaining and creating end-to-end scenarios using Cypress.io (TypeScript).
• Developing programming skills, growing into creating integration testing automated scenarios.
• Manual testing. Mainly UAT and exploratory. Rarely smoke.
• Creating testing scenarios and documenting them into the test management tool.

REQUIREMENTS
HARD SKILLS
• You are comfortable working with modern JavaScript (ES7+, NPM, NodeJS)
• You are familiar with testing frameworks such as Jest/Cypress.io or any other modern JS testing framework.
• You can write clear and concise bug reports, testing scenarios and other testing related documentation.
• You are comfortable working with GIT.
• You are comfortable working with Linux terminal (bash).
• You have clear understanding of testing methodologies and can apply your knowledge.
• You have understanding of Software development life cycle (SDLC).

SOFT SKILLS
• You are proactive and like to ask questions.
• You are a team player. Ready to help when help is needed.
• You are curious and would like to get deeper understanding of the system and how it works.
• You are independent and self-driven. You can work alone on a task without tight oversight and are able to manage your time and tasks effectively.
• You can identify when you’re blocked and can get unblocked by asking for help.
• You can clarify feature requirements to assure thorough testing.
• You can receive feedback from your colleagues in a constructive manner and understanding that feedback is always professional and never personal.
