Lead Data Engineer (offline)

Devico is looking for a motivated and talented Lead Data Architect with commercial experience of at least 5 years to join to our team on a full-time basis.

Our platform provides advertisers with a tool to manage all media investments across various AdTech and media platforms within a single solution and with a multichannel perspective. Platforms allow advertisers to orchestrate all display, social, search, video, mobile and OOH campaigns from a single interface. Thanks to artificial intelligence and process automation, companies can orchestrate the entire campaign management process from briefs, planning, and activation to trafficking and reporting.

High-growth Ad-Tech SaaS company. Classic Scrum process. 13-15 scrum teams. Each team contains 4-6 people (1 QA, 1 BA, up to 2 Backends, up to 2 Frontends). Microservice architecture, micro-frontends, PostgreSQL, Docker, druid, third party service integrations, ML, AI.

Required Soft Skills:
- Leadership qualities, including proactive leadership in data engineering projects, with the ability to lead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers.
- Experience in hiring, training, and nurturing talent within the data engineering domain.
- Data-driven person who can foster data culture across the team and the wider organization, ensuring data practices align with business objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable in discussing technical and non-technical aspects of data engineering projects with a wide range of stakeholders including project managers, business analysts, and other non-technical teams.
- A forward-thinking approach to data, constantly seeking to introduce innovative ideas, practices, and technologies to enhance the team's capabilities and the organization's data infrastructure.

Key Technologies and Experience:
- 5+ years in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing large-scale Data Lakes or Data Warehouses, demonstrating a deep understanding of data architecture principles.
- Experience in integrating third-party APIs, with a strong ability to analyze, explore, and utilize external data sources based on documentation and business requirements.
- Advanced skills in Spark, using either Python or Scala, with a proven track record of optimizing data processing and analysis tasks.
- Solid experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), leveraging cloud services to enhance data engineering solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of RDBMS & SQL (preferably Postgres or a similar database), with the ability to design, query, and manage relational databases effectively.
- Experience with workflow management platforms such as Airflow.
- Proficient in applying design patterns, adhering to code style guides, and using version control systems like GIT, ensuring code quality and consistency.
- Level of English: Upper-intermediate+.

Would Be a Plus:
Prior experience in the adtech domain, with familiarity with the ecosystem including ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, and CDPs.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes), enhancing the deployment and scalability of data engineering solutions.
