Senior QA Automation/QA Manual engineer (Java, Cucumber, SQL, UNIX)

Project Description:

Building a trading platform for innovative international top-tier hedge fund from the ground up, comprising of front-office system for traders, pre-trade checks and analysis, intra-day positions management, order management and routing, risks and limits management, reports of trading activities, FIX connectivity, market data providers connectivity (e.g. Bloomberg B-pipe).

Responsibilities:

o Interaction with business stakeholders, end-users, developers, and other QA;
o Manual API testing
o Analyzing logs and test results
o Work on backend automation
o Creation test cases in TestRail
o Be pro-active in terms of process building
o Manual testing of desktop application (trading platform)

Mandatory Skills Description:

o Experience on manual testing
o Strong knowledge of test design
o Strong knowledge of client-server software architecture model
o Good backend and test data management understanding
o Good working knowledge of Java and Cucumber
o Good working knowledge of JavaScript
o Advanced UNIX CLI experience
o Good debugging/troubleshooting skills for test failure analysis
o Good working knowledge of REST and SOAP API;
o Good working knowledge of SQL;
o Must be willing to do manual testing when required
o Must be willing to maintain and execute automation suites in a rotational basis

Nice-to-Have Skills:

o Business domain experience (stock exchange trading)
o FIX protocol
o Effective communication skills
o Ready to work any test automation tools
o Experience with Kafka;
o Experience with AWS tools
o Experience with Docker
o Experience with CI/CD in QA context

Languages:

English: B2 Upper Intermediate
