Analytics Engineer (offline)

As a Data Engineer, you will lead by example, sharing your knowledge, and helping to shape a cohesive and proficient team environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Data Transformation and Engineering:
- Lead the transformation, testing, deployment, and documentation of data to ensure its cleanliness and trustworthiness for end-user analysis.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and business analysts to determine optimal data structures that effectively capture our evolving business needs.
Mentorship and Collaboration:
- Act as a mentor to junior specialists, providing guidance, sharing experiences, and facilitating their growth within the team.
- Work collaboratively with team members to instill engineering best practices, emphasizing reliability, modularity, test coverage, and documentation.
Data Modeling and Documentation:
- Drive the modeling of raw data into clean, reusable datasets, establishing rules and requirements for data formats and attributes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data documentation, ensuring a broad-scale understanding of data usage across the organization.
Continuous Improvement:
- Implement engineering best practices to enhance code quality and contribute to the overall improvement of our code base.
- Collaborate with data engineers to build robust, scalable ELT pipelines, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

Must-haves:

- 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer or equivalent role, with a strong preference for experience with DBT.
- 5+ years of cumulative experience in the data space, encompassing data engineering, data science, analytics, or related areas.
- Proficiency in conceptual data modeling, data mart design, SQL, and Python.
- Experience building data pipelines and managing databases, preferably with Snowflake or similar technologies.
- Customer-oriented mindset with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-haves:

- Degree in math, statistics, engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- Experience in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, or BI platforms.
Previous exposure to working in global, distributed teams or within the energy sector.
