Senior Automation QA engineer (offline)

The Team

We are a remote-only, globally distributed team. We are looking for someone who can work through tough ambiguous problems, is opinionated and passionate about tooling and automation to support scalability needs of a fast growing engineering organization, and is relentless about pleasing their customers and users.

 

What you will work on

As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, you will spearhead the implementation and expansion of our automated testing framework. You will develop our testing framework into a more robust, scalable, and efficient solution. Your expertise will help us to expand our suite of tests which drive the proactive identification and resolution of performance and reliability issues across our systems.

 

You will:

● Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and systems, focusing on accelerating the testing process and enhancing software quality.

● Specialize in writing comprehensive test suites for web applications, with a particular emphasis on modern frameworks such as React and GraphQL

● Utilize a deep understanding of JavaScript and other programming languages for test scripting. Knowledge of Golang is a plus.

● Contribute to the reliable delivery of high-quality solutions by integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.

● Own the process of identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs, collaborating closely with development teams and product leaders to ensure accurate and timely resolutions

● Develop automation strategies that support complex load, stress, and performance testing scenarios, directly contributing to the scalability and reliability of our applications.

● Contribute to the building and maintenance of observability and alerting mechanisms to monitor our systems and notify key stakeholders of issues.

● Work closely with product managers to ensure our software meets the needs of our users

● Promote QA best practices within the engineering team and contribute to the development of a quality-first culture.

● Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in QA automation and software development and recommend new solutions and improvements to the engineering team.

 

Who we are looking for

We are looking for infrastructure engineers to jump in and make a huge and immediate impact to the quality of our applications.

 

● Minimum 7 years of proven experience in QA automation or a similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful automation projects. University, internship and courses years do not count as work experience.

● Expertise in JavaScript and familiarity with Golang. Proficiency in automated testing of web applications, especially those built with modern frameworks like React.

● Understanding of CI/CD tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of driving QA best practices across the organization.

● In-depth knowledge of software testing best practices and frameworks. Experience with Playwright is a plus.
