QA Automation Engineer (offline)

Location: Fully remote

### Role Overview:

We're currently looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer (Team Lead) to join our team and ensure the seamless performance of our mobile banking app. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining our app's quality within our established testing environment.

We highly value independence, hands-on experience in mobile testing, and familiarity with fintech or banking projects. Additionally, a background in economics or business is a plus, as it helps in grasping the project specifics effectively.

## Key Responsibilities:

1. Software Quality Assurance:
1. Apply expertise in software development life cycle and testing life cycle within various frameworks and methodologies, including Agile, Rapid, Scrum, and Kanban.
2. Plan, document and educate stakeholders in the project about available and recommended approaches to Automated testing.
2. Test Documentation:
1. Design, create, and maintain efficient and comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test strategies, test suites, test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.
3. Project and Test Management:
1. Proficient in tools like Jira, Confluence, Notion, GitHub, Figma, Postman.
2. Ability to manage test processes, methods, types, and approaches to ensure the highest quality standards.
4. Test Automation:
1. Evaluate and choose appropriate test automation tools with a focus on frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Webdriver.io, TestCafe, Cucumber, Mocha, and Chai.
2. Setup, enhance, and maintain test automation solutions, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines and related infrastructure.
5. Programming and Technical Skills:
1. Possess knowledge of programming languages, including JavaScript, Node.js.
2. Responsible for testing React web applications or mobile apps based on React Native.
3. Comfortable with version control systems and familiar with OOP concepts, syntax, object structures, and flow control.
6. API and Microservices Testing:
1. Demonstrate high expertise in testing REST APIs and Microservices.
2. Ability to manage data in databases using SQL.

7. Process Ownership:
1. Act as a process owner, responsible for end-to-end testing, including both manual and automation testing.

## Team Structure & Basic details

You will be joining a robust team consisting of: 2 Frontend, 2 Backends, 1 BA/PO, 1 Project Manager, 1 Product manager, 1 CTO

The tech stack is AWS, React Native and NodeJS.

The project follows Test Driven Development approach.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience as an Automated QA Specialist in a fintech or related industry.
- Experience in owning, managing, and leading processes/team.
- At least 2 years of experience in mobile testing.
- At least 2 years of practical experience with JavaScript.
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Experience working with React web applications or mobile React Native applications.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Nice to have:
-Experience in FinTech/Banking projects.
-Education in economics or business.
- Knowledge of security aspects of banking projects.
- Understanding of diverse financial assets, currencies, and the legal landscape inside and outside the EU.
