Open Source Engineer (Go) Offline

OpenTofu is a Terraform fork, created as an initiative of Gruntwork, Spacelift, Scalr, Harness, Env0, and others, in response to HashiCorp’s switch from an open-source license to a business license.

The initiative has many supporters who advocate for open-source license to ensure a single, impartial, reliable home for Terraform where the whole community could unite to keep building this amazing ecosystem. The manifesto has been endorsed by over 140 companies, involving 11 projects with the participation of over 700 individuals.

Scalr and other supporters have collaborated to form a team of full-time contributors to lead the development of OpenTofu.

Responsibilities

🔹 Actively contribute code, bug fixes, and enhancements aligned with the OpenTofu goals.

🔹Design, develop, and contribute to the OpenTofu and other relevant projects in the OpenTofu ecosystem.

🔹Review community PRs and enable the continual development of the OpenTofu project.

🔹Participate in the project planning, defining goals, and forming the project strategy.

🔹Represent the OpenTofu project in the community, online, and at events (both in-person & online)

🔹Promote the project through the development of community-centric content of a variety of types.

Our expectations

🔹4+ years’ of development experience with Go

🔹Product-driven and strong interest in DevOps topics

🔹A desire to build for the community

🔹English level - upper-intermediate+

Nice to have:

🔹Experience contributing to OSS projects (very desired)

🔹Experience with HCL & Terraform

🔹Experience with any cloud
