The company, a leading cybersecurity firm boasting a broad customer base, is actively seeking a highly proficient and motivated Senior Security Researcher to spearhead its security research initiatives. In this role, as a Senior Security Researcher, you will be responsible for recognizing and scrutinizing emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack methods. Close collaboration with our product management, product development, and operational teams will be crucial as you work to enhance the security of our products and ensure the protection of our customers. Key Responsibilities:

*Perform comprehensive research to detect and assess the most current security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack methods.

*Scrutinize traffic data and attack information gathered from our extensive customer base to identify areas for enhancing security protocols.

*Stay current with emerging trends, industry standards, and cybersecurity best practices, actively contributing to the development of innovative security solutions.

*Conduct penetration testing to uncover opportunities for strengthening security protocols.

*Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to devise and implement effective security measures.

*Issue security updates for customers and monitor their effectiveness.

*Play a key role in supporting responses to attacks, thoroughly understanding them and creating relevant protective measures.

*Function as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to various teams within the organization.

Qualifications:

*A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in web application security – mandatory.

*A robust grasp of web application security, computer networks, protocols, systems security, and cloud security.

*Sound knowledge of common attack vectors, security vulnerabilities, threat modeling, and advanced threat-hunting methodologies.

*Experience with security assessment tools and techniques, including vulnerability scanners, penetration testing frameworks, and network analysis tools.

*A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

*Proficiency in common hacking tools and techniques.

*Proficient in translating findings into actionable detection signatures and other security policy recommendations – mandatory.

*Experience in analyzing cyberattacks.

*Competence in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Java.

*Outstanding problem-solving abilities and a knack for creative thinking.

*Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

*Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP) are a plus.
